Health and safety at work

SECATOL is committed to complying with the applicable codes, laws and regulations that govern occupational health and safety. To this end, we have introduced:

 

  • Risk assessment/Improved workstations/Occupational stress alleviation:
    • Improved workstation ergonomics
    • Selected task automation
  • Company-wide agreement on gender equality and quality of work life signed in July 2019
  • Safety at work programme in conjunction with the works council, occupational health authorities, the Department for work, and inspection bodies (half-yearly and yearly checks of electrical systems, lifting gear and fire prevention).
  • Work time organisation with the introduction of flexible hours.
  • Skills development for all our employees through training and qualification.
  • Recruitment of young people with a mentoring policy to retain our expertise.
  • SECATOL also ensures that its subcontractors and external contractors working at SECATOL comply with these laws and regulations (accident prevention plan). With regard to its own product designs, Secatol complies with the applicable standards and directives (certificates of conformity, instructions for use, check sheets, health and safety labels on equipment, record keeping, etc) to ensure they are not harmful to the health and safety of users.
  • SECATOL works very closely with local social enterprise schemes to help the disabled get back into work.
  • SECATOL has implemented a retention plan for old-aged workers.
